Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Histotechnologist II in Altamonte Springs, FL, a full-time, day-shift role. You will perform routine and complex histology tasks, including special stains and IHC, under limited supervision, and may lead projects.

ASCP HT certification, an associate degree, and 3 years histology experience are required; a state license is needed if applicable. The role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• AS degree or equivalent training and experience.
• HT (ASCP) certification.
• 3 years Histology experience.
• Current state licensure, if applicable.
• Meets corporate minimum qualifications for Histotechnician and Histology Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare slides for microscopic evaluation following policies and procedures.
• Perform duties of Histotechnologist I as needed.
• May perform gross tissue examination per CLIA and SOPs.
• Prepare solutions and reagents for special stains.
• Obtain/validate controls for special stains.
• Perform all special stain procedures.
• May prepare reagents for IHC procedures and validate controls.
• May perform IHC testing.
• Provide training/guidance to Histotechnicians/Histotechnologists.
• Handle non-gynecological specimen prep, including FNA when trained.
