Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year of surgical gross experience preferred.
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of corporate Minimum Qualifications for Non-Pathologist Performing Gross Tissue Examinations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine activities for surgical specimens preparation.
• Assure appropriate specimen accessioning and labeling.
• Describe gross anatomic features of surgical specimens.
• Capable of grossing high complexity specimens under supervision.
• Prepare tissues for histologic processing.
• Interact directly with pathologists regarding gross dissection.
