Job summary

CompuNet Clinical Laboratories, LLC in Dayton, OH is seeking an entry-level histology support technician for the full-time day shift (8:30 AM–5:00 PM) with every sixth Saturday rotation. Starting wage is $17.00 per hour.

You will perform data entry, assist pathology staff, handle specimens under supervision, and help with setup for grossing, safety, and quality procedures. High school diploma required; laboratory experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Laboratory experience preferred but not required.
• Keyboarding skills and medical terminology is helpful but not needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs data entry into the AP computer system.
• Use Epic and AP systems as required for assigned functions.
• Use laboratory instrumentation in a limited fashion under supervision.
• Perform preliminary set up for the pathology assistant or pathologist to perform specimen grossing.
• Handle client-related questions and concerns courteously following department policies.
• Handle specimens in accordance with safety regulations to ensure accurate histologic results.
• Comply with all company, department and regulatory policies and procedures that include safety protocols.
• Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the organization by performing other duties as assigned.
