Job summary

Kingman Regional Medical Center is seeking a Grossing Histology Technician in Laboratory Services. The role focuses on processing, embedding, cutting and staining histology specimens, and supporting bone marrow evaluations and cytology prep.

Responsibilities include specimen accessioning, equipment maintenance, and timely reporting, while upholding patient confidentiality and safety. Prior histology experience and histotechnology certification are preferred, with a strong attention to detail

Qualifications

• Certification in histotechnology is preferred.
• Hospital histology experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of general chemistry and biology is expected.

Responsibilities

• Embeds, cuts and stains processed tissue and frozen tissue.
• Assists with bone marrow biopsies and prepares specimens for microscopy.
• Obtains and accession specimens, logs in data and assigns numbers.
• Maintains equipment and performs routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Ensures confidentiality of patient information and maintains safety standards.
• Distributes results to physicians and assists with quality assurance tasks.
