Job summary

Avantik is seeking Field Service Engineers to service histology laboratory equipment across customer sites in the US. You will work with a Service Coordinator to coordinate schedules, perform emergency repairs and preventive maintenance, and ensure all service reports are properly documented.

The role requires basic mechanical and PC skills, solid communication, and the ability to lift 50 pounds and travel as needed. Avantik offers a competitive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude is required.
• Basic PC skills are required.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills are expected.
• Team player with collaborative mindset.
• Ability to interpret schematics and illustrated parts drawings.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency repairs and preventative maintenance according to Avantik standards.
• Maintain necessary parts inventory for emergencies and PM tasks.
• Coordinate with clients on schedules and ETA, updating status with Service Coordinator.
• Record service reports and share with the customer and internal teams.
• Restock inventory and manage warehouse stock as requested.
• Travel to customer locations; car provided for travel.
