Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused care in a clinical setting through HLA typing using molecular methods.
• Perform data analysis and interpretation of HLA alleles and haplotype frequency.
• Isolate lymphocytes from peripheral blood, spleen, and lymph nodes.
• Perform antibody screening by Flow Cytometry Crossmatch and initial data interpretation.
• Perform antibody screening and specificity analysis using Luminex methods.
• Generate initial crossmatch and antibody screening reports for review by supervisor.
• Integrate typing, flow crossmatch and screening results for initial Virtual Crossmatch report.
• Receive requests from transplant coordinators and physicians for lab processing.
• Other duties as assigned as part of the general scope of the role.
