Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center's HLA Lab seeks a detail-oriented professional to coordinate communications between the transplant teams and lab operations. You will utilize EPIC, HistoTrac, Unet, and NMDP to manage patient samples, orders, results, and reports.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of HLA laboratory experience, strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills, and the ability to support testing, data entry, and crossmatching activities within a collaborative

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills; 3–5 years HLA Laboratory experience.
• Experience with EPIC, HistoTrac, Unet, NMDP and related histocompatibility software.
• Ability to coordinate between transplant program and lab teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintains communication with the transplant program via phone/email/TEAMS.
• Ensures all testing and sample related questions are followed up and resolved.
• Responds to inquiries regarding result status.
• Maintains UNOS Active waitlist in HistoTrac.
• Maintains NMDP form submission for form 22/form 117.
• Maintains communication with Biotouch and monitors the monthly waitlist batch upload.
• Assist in maintaining UNOS database for TIEDI, Unacceptable updates, and HLA verification.
• Assist in maintaining NKR database for Unacceptable listing and HLA typing entry or verification.
• Assist in ordering and reporting virtual crossmatches.
• Contributes to HIL test analysis, review, signoff, and reporting.
• Contributes to QC and PT reviews, and proper documentation.
• Participate in patient/donor selection meetings as needed.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for communication between HIL and Transplant Teams Regarding Patient Samples, orders, Results, and Reports. This position should demonstrate appropriate experience and knowledge to utilize EPIC, HistoTrac, Unet, and NMDP, and other Histocompatibility Lab software.

• Data Analysis: Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate data analysis in practical data analysis applications of moderate difficulty. Navigates within established technology environments to locate, validate, extract, and format data for data analysis. Able to modify and run queries and standard reports from data tools and provide to users. Can identify data values and data sources. Is familiar with data modeling. Can interview business customers to elicit data requirements and understand the relationships between data items.
• Quality Assurance: Has provided continuous analysis and evaluation of assignment work processes, constantly striving for improvement in the way tasks and activities are accomplished by questioning their value to the process and contributing creative solutions. Has participated in the process of establishing, communicating, and monitoring standards for quality and excellence. • Equipment Maintenance: Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate the ability to maintain equipment, products, or systems in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Assures that parts inventory is sufficient.
• Diagnostic Testing: Demonstrates proficiency of diagnostic
