Job summary

LifeLink Foundation in Tampa, FL seeks a Medical Technologist / Histocompatibility Technologist to support organ and tissue donation testing. You will perform histocompatibility assays, log specimens, and assist in on-call laboratory services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher and Florida Histocompatibility Technologist certification.
• ABHI certification as a Histocompatibility Technologist to be pursued within 3 years of employment.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work under clinical lab conditions.

Responsibilities

• Performs histocompatibility assays including HLA-ABC, DR Typing, ABO/Rh Typing.
• Receives, logs, bills and prepares specimens for analysis and testing.
• Operates instruments with proper controls and documentation of results.
• Rotates on-call duties and reports to supervisors promptly.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to safety policies.
