Job summary

MaineHealth's NorDx laboratory seeks an HLA Technologist to perform routine and STAT testing supporting living and deceased organ transplantation, platelet refractoriness, and broader HLA testing. The role requires competency in clinical lab procedures and on-call rotations.

On-site position with competitive benefits; proficiency in Excel and strong documentation skills are essential. Prior HLA experience, Flow Cytometry, and EPIC/HistoTrac familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in medical lab science or related field.
• Licensure/certification: ACHI Histocompatibility Technologist or equivalent, eligible within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and STAT testing in histocompatibility lab.
• Rotate 24/7 on-call duties for deceased donor transplantation.
• Maintain careful documentation of test records, QC, and corrective actions.
• Assist in HLA typing, antibody screening, Flow Cytometry, crossmatching, ABO grouping (preferred).
