DMC University Laboratories, Inc. in Detroit, MI is seeking a Laboratory professional to perform HLA antibody, flow cytometric and molecular testing to support bone marrow and solid organ transplant programs and related disease typing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related science or clinical discipline, or Canadian degree in clinical discipline and completion of a Canadian accredited Technologist program.
• Registered or registry eligible in accordance with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, AMT, Canadian CSMLS, NCA or HLA ACHI within 12 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, performs HLA antibody, flow cytometric and molecular testing for support of the bone marrow and solid organ transplant programs, disease association typing, and platelet therapy while meeting all standards set by governing bodies and adhering to all written and approved procedures and/or instructions.
• Monitors activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, JCAHO requirements, and DMC policies and procedures.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related field

Registered or registry eligible with ASCP/AMT/CSMLS/NCA or HLA ACHI within 12 months of hire
