Job summary

MaineHealth NorDx in Scarborough, ME is seeking a Lead Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Technician to oversee hematology operations, manage staffing workflow and ensure quality control across the laboratory.

The role requires an associate degree, MT/MLT certification, and prior lead experience. You will implement procedures, maintain testing platforms, and serve as a technical resource for internal and external customers, including taking charge when a supervisor is absent.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Licenses: Medical Laboratory Technician or Categorical Technologist certification; MT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee problem resolution and staffing workflow.
• Maintain equipment and testing platforms; ensure quality control programs.
• Develop and implement procedures and testing platforms; act as technical resource for customers.
• Assume charge for the laboratory in the supervisor's absence; perform MT/MLT duties.
