Job summary

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking Line Cooks to join a growing and dynamic team in Kaimuki, HI. This is a full-time, on-site role with a fixed rate of $20/hour for dinner shifts from 3:00pm to 10:30pm.

You should have knife skills, food prep experience, and knowledge of Hawaii sanitation guidelines. The job requires lifting up to 40 lbs, wearing non-slip shoes, and TB clearance; prior line cook experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Hawaii State Department of Health guidelines for food safety and sanitation.
• Proficiency in knife skills and fundamental cooking methods.
• Basic understanding of meat, poultry, and fish butchery.
• Ability to cut consistent portion sizes.
• Must possess a current TB clearance.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and wear non-slip shoes.
• Comfortable in hot and humid environments for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Sauté, roast, grill, fry, steam, and blanch various foods.
• Assist with food prep, including cutting, chopping, mixing, and sauce preparation.
• Maintain prep sheets, labeling, dating, and proper food storage.
• Assist with prep and utility duties while working on a team.
• Manage tasks efficiently during service and maintain an organized workstation.
• Efficiently work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Follow directions and communicate well with the kitchen team.

Experience: 6 months of line cook experience in a similar role preferred.
