Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; CPR/FA and CPI certifications preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, and forms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of all consumers and follow HIPAA/Medical Records policies.
• Manage paper and electronic medical records for new, current, and terminated consumers.
• Scan, index, and organize records in the electronic records system and back file.
• Assist with authorization to release medical records forms and respond to inquiries.
• Process mail requests and document disclosures per policy.
• Provide training on records access procedures and indexing to staff.
• Conduct weekly and monthly records reviews and maintain storage inventory.
