Job summary

Twin Cities Orthopedics in Chaska, MN is seeking a Health Information Management professional to coordinate medical records, physician documentation and staff services. This full-time role ensures adherence to HIPAA, regulatory standards, and auditing processes while supporting leadership with timely reporting.

The position involves communication with care teams, peer review coordination, and processing record requests at the Two Twelve Surgery Center.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years experience in HIM, medical staff services, or healthcare compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate tracking file for receipt of dictation and signatures.
• Communicate with physicians and care teams to ensure timely documentation completion.
• Meet annual departmental goals including chart audits and compliance tracking.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal medical records requirements.
• Process medical record requests, invoices, and track payments.
• Coordinate and manage physician peer review process, including assignment, tracking, and follow-up.
• Prepare and present reports to Medical Executive Committee and Governing Board.
