Covenant HealthCare is seeking a Health Information Management Support Associate to facilitate health information flow, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and timely processing of medical records. Responsibilities include handling ROI requests in Epic, chart scanning/indexing, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA and privacy policies, while collaborating with the HIM team and clinicians to

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Completion of Medical Terminology course within 6 months of hire or transfer.
• Previous work experience in a medical record department or hospital inpatient unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process health information and ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Handle releases of information via Epic ROI module with proper logging.
• Prepare, scan, index, and analyze records to meet HIMSS Scanning guidelines.
• Assist with transcription and reporting duties as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA/privacy compliance and safety standards.
