Job summary

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a Privacy Analyst to work onsite at the Rosedale Office Building in Fort Worth, TX, with the option to work remotely one day per week (Tuesday–Thursday). You will support HIPAA privacy compliance, help develop policies, and report on privacy metrics while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity.

The role requires at least two years of HIPAA/HITECH experience, a bachelor’s degree, and strong written and verbal communication

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience directly related to HIPAA and HITECH privacy rules or related compliance areas.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education, and a minimum of two years healthcare compliance experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and management skills, ability to multi-task, and high level of discretion due to privacy issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring a reasonable and appropriate level of compliance with HIPAA Privacy Rule and related laws and standards regarding PII; help develop non-technical safeguards for PHI and other sensitive information.
• Assist with development and maintenance of privacy policies and procedures and ensure following privacy-related policies.
• Provide reporting metrics related to information privacy.
• Identify, investigate, report and resolve privacy violations with integrity and professionalism.
• Support the Information Privacy Program to ensure integrity of investigation results and accurate analysis.
• Provide professional assistance to personnel and clients regarding data privacy at Cook Children's Health Care System.
