Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a Privacy Analyst to work onsite at the Rosedale Office Building in Fort Worth, TX, with the option to work remotely one day per week (Tuesday–Thursday). You will support HIPAA privacy compliance, help develop policies, and report on privacy metrics while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity.

The role requires at least two years of HIPAA/HITECH experience, a bachelor’s degree, and strong written and verbal communication

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education, and a minimum of two years healthcare compliance experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and management skills, ability to multi-task, and high level of discretion due to privacy issues.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in ensuring a reasonable and appropriate level of compliance with HIPAA Privacy Rule and related laws and standards regarding PII; help develop non-technical safeguards for PHI and other sensitive information.
• Assist with development and maintenance of privacy policies and procedures and ensure following privacy-related policies.
• Provide reporting metrics related to information privacy.
• Identify, investigate, report and resolve privacy violations with integrity and professionalism.
• Support the Information Privacy Program to ensure integrity of investigation results and accurate analysis.
• Provide professional assistance to personnel and clients regarding data privacy at Cook Children's Health Care System.

Job Overview

This role will predominately be working onsite at our Rosedale Office Building in Fort Worth, TX. There will be flexibility to work remotely one (1) day per week, between Tuesday-Thursday.

Responsibilities

The Privacy Analyst reports directly to the Privacy Manager and will be responsible for:

• assisting with ensuring a reasonable and appropriate level of compliance is met in regard to the HIPAA Privacy Rule and other Federal and State laws, rules, and standards dealing with Personally Identifiable Information (PII). helping develop and implement non-technical safeguards in respect to Protected Health Information (PHI) as well as other proprietary and sensitive information.
• assisting with development and maintenance of privacy policies and procedures. helping to assure policies and procedures related to the privacy of information are being followed,
• reporting metrics related to information privacy.
• identifying, investigating, reporting and resolving privacy violations with the highest degree of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
• maintaining and helping to further build the Information Privacy Program in a way that ensures absolute integrity of investigation results in a way that reflects true and accurate analysis.
• providing professional assistance to appropriate personnel and clients regarding the privacy of data at CCHCS.

Education

• All candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience directly related to HIPAA and HITECH privacy rules or related compliance areas.
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent education and a minimum of two years of health care compliance experience considered.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication and management skills, ability to multi-task, and high level of discretion due to the nature of privacy issues.

Certification/Licensure

• Current CHPC certification preferred. If not currently certified, then CHPC must be attained within 24 months of employment.
