Sentara Health Corporate Office is seeking a Remote HIPAA Privacy Analyst to investigate potential privacy breaches and ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and Information Blocking rules.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of privacy experience, with strong communication and investigative skills. This is a fully remote position offering a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 2+ years of privacy analysis experience.
• In-depth knowledge of the HIPAA Privacy and Breach Notification Rules.
• Experience auditing, investigating, and processing regulatory violations.
• Ability to triage a customer service call and provide excellent service.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA Security Rule is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigates potential privacy breaches and noncompliance with Sentara HIPAA policies.
• Implements and administers all aspects of Sentara's Privacy policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with internal teams across levels to ensure privacy compliance.
• Assists in responding to and documenting privacy incidents.
