Job summary

The Staff Pad partnered with a hospital in Las Vegas, NM to hire a Health Information Management (HIM) Technician. This role focuses on accurate, secure patient records and efficient HIM operations supporting quality patient care behind the scenes.

You will handle medical records, ensure HIPAA compliance, and work with electronic health record systems in a busy healthcare setting. This full-time role offers growth in healthcare administration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems valued.
• RHIT/RHIA or related HIM certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, organize, and file patient medical records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Retrieve and distribute medical records to authorized personnel promptly.
• Review records for completeness, accuracy, and HIPAA compliance.
• Scan, index, and upload documentation into EHR systems.
• Process medical record requests while ensuring confidentiality.
• Respond to inquiries with professionalism and urgency.
• Support daily HIM operations to ensure seamless patient care.
