Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Medical Records/Health Information Management Specialist to join our on-site team in Illinois. This entry-level, part-time opportunity offers flexible day-time hours, an hourly pay range of $18.65 to $19.90 based on experience, and benefits including tuition reimbursement and paid certifications.

You will analyze records, follow up on documentation, manage EMR queues, ensure timely chart completion, and maintain compliance with CMS and Joint Commission

Qualifications

• CMS knowledge and Joint Commission familiarity preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare revenue cycle for an acute care HIM setting is preferred.
• Inquisitive mindset and openness to AI-driven process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Completes analysis/reanalysis of records accurately and timely.
• Follows up on missing documentation and ensures documentation is received.
• Manages EMR queues and creates charting deficiencies in the system.
• Ensures timely chart completion and adherence to policy standards.
• Documents workflows and communicates issues to management.
• Identifies systemic problems and escalates to the facility Manager.
