This role focuses on claim-related documentation, HIPAA compliance, and efficient office operations. You will obtain and validate medical records, manage EMR navigation, and support billing workflows while maintaining high productivity and quality in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of medical billing or HIM experience required.
• Experience with EMR navigation and CPT/ICD-10 knowledge.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and medical record formats.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Obtains medical records and supporting documentation and secures incomplete data for clean claim submission.
• Examines documents and places them correctly in paper or electronic records.
• Performs pre-scan validation of new claims for accuracy and timely processing.
• Verifies patient identification and reviews medical records for completeness.
• Uses BCS and uploaded documents to resolve pending claims.
• Maintains productivity with high accuracy and quality controls.
• Supports other billing and data-entry tasks as needed.
