Breg is hiring a Health Information Management Specialist II in Phoenix, AZ to advance medical records management and claims processing. You will obtain and verify records, ensure HIPAA compliance, and support the billing workflow using the Breg Claim System, contributing to timely revenue recognition.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in medical billing or HIM, EMR proficiency, and strong attention to detail, with solid Microsoft Office skills for daily tasks and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in medical billing or HIM duties.
• Experience with EMR navigation, CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Proficient with MS Office and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical records and secure incomplete data for claims submission.
• Review documents and place them correctly in paper/electronic records.
• Verify patient IDs and perform pre-scan validation for accuracy.
• Use Breg Claim System to resolve pending claims.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient health information.
• Support billing, collection tasks, and office operations.
