HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation are essential. The role supports billing operations, data entry, and office tasks while contributing to revenue cycle improvements and quality control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in medical billing or HIM.
• Knowledge of EMR systems; CPT/ICD-10 codes.
• Proficient in EMR navigation and basic billing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Obtains medical records and supporting documentation; secures incomplete data for clean submission.
• Examines documents and determines proper placement in paper or electronic records.
• Performs pre-scan validation of new claims to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
• Works in Breg Claim System to resolve pending claims.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance for patient information.
• Assists with process improvement and other billing tasks as required.
