Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Health Information Management Supervisor to lead the HIM department's imaging and indexing operations, ensuring accurate scanning, indexing, and timely availability of patient health information in the EHR to support safe care and regulatory compliance.

You will manage staff, establish productivity and quality standards, develop workflows, and monitor KPIs while collaborating with clinical, Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, IT, and other departments to optimize

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Health Information Management experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience using Epic.
• Experience with document imaging and indexing software.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise daily HIM Department operations.
• Plan, assign, and prioritize workload to meet turnaround times.
• Monitor productivity, staffing levels, and workflow for efficiency.
• Develop staffing schedules and coordinate coverage for leaves and peak periods.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and communicate initiatives and goals.
• Foster accountability, teamwork, customer service and continuous improvement.
