Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a detail‑oriented HIM professional to support all HIM functions excluding coding. You will handle Release of Information, document capture, data analysis, vital records, and MyChart support.

Strong HIPAA knowledge, customer service, and multi‑tasking are essential. Responsibilities include processing requests, indexing records, auditing quality, and ensuring timely access to health information while adhering to state regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of customer service or medical records experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs Release of Information duties: process requests, verify HIPAA-compliant authorizations, and file charts.
• Performs Document Capture duties: indexing, scanning, and preparing records for imaging.
• Performs Analysis duties: review records, pull data, and route to appropriate queues in Epic.
• Performs Data Integrity duties: identify duplicates, merge records, and maintain EMPI accuracy.
• Performs MyChart Specialist duties: assist patients with MyChart requests and portal access.
