Job summary

Northlake Behavioral Health is seeking a detail-oriented Health Information Department Supervisor to lead the HID team and ensure accurate, complete medical records in a high-volume inpatient setting.

You will oversee release of information, subpoenas, chart deficiencies, and prepare records for surveys and regulatory reviews, while mapping workflows as the system moves from paper charts toward an electronic health record. This is a ground-up leadership role with growth potential.

Qualifications

• RHIT or RHIA credential required; new graduates welcome
• 3-5+ years medical records experience with RHIT/RHIA enrollment proof
• Behavioral health experience is a plus
• Supervisory experience is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Oversee release of information and subpoenas/court orders
• Handle requests involving minors and chart deficiencies with follow-up
• Prepare leadership reports and ensure record readiness for surveys and regulatory reviews
• Map workflows for the transition from paper charts to electronic health records
