Franciscan Health Indiana Heart Physicians in Indianapolis is seeking a Health Information Representative to support busy cardiology clinics. You will prepare, organize, and maintain patient charts and medical records to ensure timely access and accurate scheduling.

This in-person role operates Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with holidays off. You will review charts for upcoming appointments, respond to requests, and help uphold HIPAA compliance while delivering a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred 1 year Medical Office/Medical Terminology experience.
• HIPAA awareness and attention to detail expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and maintain patient charts and medical records to support efficient clinic operations and timely access to information.
• Review and prepare charts for upcoming appointments, ensuring records are accurate and available according to scheduling timelines.
• Process medical record requests and respond to phone inquiries while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
• Support providers, staff, and patients through accurate record management and a positive patient experience.
