Job summary

Pagosa Springs Medical Center is seeking a Representative: Health Information Management (HIM) to support the daily operations of the HIM department. This role serves as a primary reception and service point for patients, visitors, providers, and staff within a fast-paced environment.

The position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current AHA BLS Heart Saver certification.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Access, data entry, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, visitors, physicians, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
• Receive, review, and process requests for medical records (ROI).
• Scan, index, and import medical records into the electronic health record.
• Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity.
