Qualifications

• Minimum job requirements include a High School degree; Health Information Management or related field.
• Experience: 3 years in a healthcare setting, typically HIM, compliance, quality or clinical settings.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: ability to work independently with minimal supervision using critical thinking; proficient computer and keyboarding skills; ability to read medical terminology and HIPAA regulations; strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day assigned functions; acts as SME for teammates on inquiries and challenges.
• Coordinates and optimizes daily work activities to meet turnaround times and KPIs.
• Supports leadership by reviewing policies and procedures and recommending workflow improvements.
• Facilitates resolution of complaints while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Collaborates with IT for software testing and upgrades; troubleshoots system issues and submits enhancement requests.
• Responds to questions with leadership and other departments as needed.
