Job summary

Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Health Information Management Operations professional in the Document Management area of the Enterprise Revenue Cycle. This full-time role supports a 40-hour week, Mon-Fri, 9:00 a.m.

to 5:30 p.m., and will focus on improving data quality and workflow efficiency within HIM operations. Responsibilities include analyzing metrics, deploying new policies, coordinating with leadership, and delivering training for internal teams and Epic Community Connect

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in a related healthcare field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Health Information Management or Revenue Cycle operations.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas).
• Experience with EHR systems and data capture; ability to generate reports.

Responsibilities

• Analyze volumes, metrics, and KPIs; identify complex operational issues.
• Coordinate deployments, document policies, and monitor workflow effectiveness.
• Lead HIM activities including team communications and quality reviews.
• Deliver training and develop educational materials for internal and external partners.
• Perform time studies, set task standards, and support productivity tools.
• Conduct audits and present quality assurance findings to leadership.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance in patient privacy within sub-functions.
• Create visually engaging presentations for executive meetings and training.
• Prepare data analyses in Excel and design SharePoint forms to automate workflows.
• Utilize data analytics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
