NeuroPsychiatric Hospitals seeks an experienced HIM Information Analyst to assemble, analyze, and release medical records for patients within the North Valley Behavioral Hospital, a brand new facility in its network. The role involves retrieving records, filing loose notes, and maintaining logs in accordance with applicable laws and hospital policies.

Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and experience with electronic health record systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Assembles and analyzes medical records.
• Releases medical records in accordance with laws.
• Maintains logs and records in HIM department.
• Follows hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Interacts with physicians and staff to obtain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and analyzes medical records for quantitative deficiencies.
• Releases and copies records promptly and accurately upon requests.
• Retrieves records and distributes reports to internal and external reviewers.
• Maintains master index and date logs for records.
• Ensures patient privacy and confidentiality of health information.
• Communicates with nursing and medical staff to obtain required documentation.
