Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Medical Records Clerk for Burlington Hospital to protect and maintain patient data and medical information. You will prep, scan, index, and perform quality audits to ensure timely completion of legal health records.

You will also assist physicians with deficiencies and support EHR workflows within Epic and OnBase. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of medical office experience or an AAS in HIM; on-site, day shift with a 40-hour workweek

Qualifications

Two years of medical office experience required or equivalent in education (minimum of AAS in HIM).
Strong knowledge of medical record format.
Ability to be detail-oriented and perform tasks with high accuracy.
Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills; customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

Document capture of paper records into OnBase and manage electronic images in OnBase and Epic.
Monitor scanning quality and queue management to ensure accuracy.
Handle Epic In-basket Work queues and PR/Release of Information requests.
Validate demographics and patient identifiers; manage state registry updates.
Identify and address physician/provider deficiencies; assist with completion of legal health records.
