Job summary

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year lead/coord experience, 2 years in release of information and related tasks, plus strong communication and customer service skills; RHIT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year lead, coordinating or supervisory experience required.
• 2 years in release of information, records analysis and processing.

• Proficient with basic computer software and data entry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient record processing activities and establishes work priorities.
• Trains HIM staff and monitors quality and productivity of staff.
• Assists HIM staff with day-to-day activities and coverage needs.
• Assists HIM leadership with performance, conduct, and work habits issues.
• Participates in safety initiatives and completes required competencies.
