Job summary

Signature HealthCARE LLC is seeking a Health Information Management professional to oversee medical records, ensure regulatory compliance, and act as the Compliance Liaison for our Lexington facility. The role emphasizes accuracy, privacy, and lifecycle management of documentation across departments.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or higher in HIM and may hold RHIT/RHIA credentials, with 2+ years in a healthcare setting. Proficiency in EMR systems and MatrixCare is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a health care facility.
• RHIT or RHIA credential preferred.
• Knowledge of legal, ethical, and professional practice standards in HIM.
• Familiar with medical terminology and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of medical records throughout its lifecycle, including admission through discharge and retention.
• Upload paper-based patient records to the electronic chart promptly upon receipt.
• Maintain organized auxiliary clinical and administrative records for legal discovery and reporting.
• Coordinate record requests and respond to approved requests in a timely manner.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on health information standards and regulations.
• Act as Compliance Liaison for the facility and assist in compliance activities.
