Job summary

Signature HealthCARE, Mayfair Manor in Lexington, KY, seeks a Health Information Management professional to oversee medical records and serve as Compliance Liaison.

You will manage the records lifecycle, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with hospitals and providers. RHIT/RHIA preferred; two years in healthcare required; strong analytical and IT skills with EMR/MatrixCare.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field from an accredited college is required.
• RHIT or RHIA credential is preferred.
• Minimum of two years experience in a health care facility; SNF or long‑term care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of legal, ethical, and professional practice standards in Health Information Management.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; EMR and MatrixCare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents’ medical records in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the designated Compliance Liaison for the facility.
• Audit and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality of medical records throughout their lifecycle.
• Coordinate record requests and respond to approved requests per policy.
• Assist compliance officer with annual risk assessments and education, and distribute policies and newsletters.
• Support staff with health information standards and regulatory requirements.
