Job summary

Signature HealthCARE seeks a Health Information professional to maintain resident records, ensure regulatory compliance, and act as the Compliance Liaison for the facility. The role requires HIM education and experience with EMR systems, emphasizing accuracy, retention, and legal compliance.

Two years in health care, RHIT/RHIA preferred, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR tools.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field from an accredited college required.
• RHIT or RHIA credential preferred.
• Minimum of two years experience in a health care facility; long-term care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of legal, ethical, and professional standards in Health Information Management.
• Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents’ medical records per facility policies and regulations.
• Serve as Compliance Liaison for the facility.
• Coordinate and respond to medical record requests and audits.
• Support QAPI reporting through documentation accuracy and retention.
