Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. seeks a senior leader to oversee the transition of facility HIM coding and revenue cycle management to the HSC. You will plan, deploy, and align coding processes with HSC goals, ensuring continuity and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires advanced HIM certifications (RHIA/RHIT/CCS), a Bachelor's in HIM, and 8+ years of acute care coding with 5+ years in management. A proven track record in large coding pools and transformation projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT and CCS certifications required.
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in HIM.
• Minimum 8 years acute care HIM coding experience.
• Minimum 5 years healthcare management/leadership.
• Experience managing large coding pools or reviewers.
• Consulting or proven work in process transformation, shared services or change management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transition and business continuity of facility HIM coding and revenue cycle management processes from the facilities to the HSC.
• Plan, prepare and integrate facility HIM coding processes with the HSC during deployment.
• Monitor against a HSC-specific business plan.
• Build and maintain high quality HIM coding processes.
• Serve as liaison between HSC leadership and facility HIM Directors during deployment.
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of departmental policy and procedure manuals in compliance with SSG standards.
