Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Revenue Integrity specialist to audit revenue processes, support coding accuracy, and liaise on billing issues. You will collaborate with finance, clinical departments, and compliance to improve revenue management and education programs.

The role requires 3+ years in revenue integrity, knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 coding, and AHIMA/AAPC credentials. A strong team player with excellent communication and organizational skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of revenue integrity experience in hospital or healthcare.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in HIM or related field, or equivalent combo of education/experience.
• Current knowledge of revenue cycle processes and hospital/medical billing.
• Understanding of electronic medical records components.
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS coding.
• Familiarity with NCCI edits and Medicare LCD/NCDs.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organizational skills; deadline-driven.
• Computer skills with MS Office; Windows OS and Internet.
• AHIMA or AAPC certifications (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCA; CPC-H/COC-H) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audit/review activities to ensure revenue management and charge capture integrity.
• Support education for leadership and implementation; act as facility liaison on billing issues.
• Collaborate with Patient Financial Services, Clinical Departments, and Compliance.
• Lead special projects to improve revenue management and coding accuracy.
