Job summary

Glydways is seeking a System Test Engineer to lead Hardware-in-the-Loop testing for its autonomous transit system. You will build and improve HIL test benches, run automated regression tests, and translate requirements into scalable test procedures.

You’ll collaborate across embedded software, vehicle engineering, and safety teams to ensure test readiness and robust release evidence. Ideal candidates bring hands-on lab experience, data-driven analysis, and a track record of delivering reusable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related field.
• 4+ years in system test, HIL testing, embedded systems, or similar.
• Experience designing and executing integration/system tests with clear criteria.
• Experience with complex electromechanical/cyber-physical systems and test data analysis.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and communicate risk clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test plans and automated test cases.
• Build, configure, maintain, and improve HIL benches, harnesses, and interfaces.
• Translate requirements and safety needs into repeatable tests with pass/fail criteria.
• Expand automated regression coverage to test earlier and more often.
• Troubleshoot tests involving embedded controllers, networks, and diagnostics.
• Analyze logs, telemetry, dashboards, and bench data to determine outcomes.
• Track failures from discovery to closure and verify fixes.
• Improve test automation, simulators, dashboards, and data pipelines.
• Support readiness reviews with evidence on environment readiness and configurations.
• Collaborate with embedded software, autonomy, vehicle engineering, safety, and QA teams.
• Build lightweight tools and utilities to enhance testing workflows.
