Job summary

AV is seeking an LMS HIL/SIL System Test Engineer II in the United States to plan, execute, and document hardware‑in‑the‑loop and software‑in‑the‑loop tests for LMS products. The role emphasizes collaboration across systems, software, and hardware teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage against requirements.

Responsibilities include test campaign development, HIL/SIL bench configuration, and creating clear, data‑driven test artifacts. Proficiency in Python and C/C++/C# is highly valued.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in system, integration, or HIL/SIL test engineering, preferably on embedded or unmanned systems.
• Hands‑on experience with HIL or SIL environments (real‑time simulators, virtual platforms, avionics benches).
• Experience developing and executing formal test procedures, documenting results, and triaging defects.
• Demonstrated experience verifying and validating system requirements through structured test campaigns.
• Familiarity with requirements management and traceability, including linking requirements to verification methods.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute HIL and SIL system test campaigns for LMS products, including procedures and data collection.
• Configure and operate HIL test benches and SIL environments with avionics, payloads, GCS, and simulations.
• Develop and maintain test cases, procedures, and reports to verify system interfaces.
• Ensure traceability by linking requirements to test results within the toolset.
• Analyze test results and logs, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve defects.
• Support development and improvement of HIL/SIL frameworks, automation, and toolchains.
