Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. is seeking an experienced HIL Systems Integration Engineer to design, build, and bring up hardware-in-the-loop benches that replicate our vehicle E/E architecture.

You will lead system-level integration of ECUs, harnesses, instrumentation, and test automation across our HIL fleet, ensuring milestones and quality standards are met.

The role calls for Python tooling, debugging with scopes and bus analytics, and close collaboration with software, hardware, and programs teams.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical, Computer, Systems Engineering, or equivalent program.
  • 2–3+ years in vehicle E/E systems integration, HIL bench development, or vehicle validation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead system-level integration and bring-up of HIL benches replicating vehicle E/E behavior.
  • Design bench hardware—wire harnesses, breakout boxes, load, power, and instrumentation.
  • Develop Python tooling for ECU flashing, test orchestration, and bench health monitoring in CI.
  • Debug hardware/software issues using oscilloscopes and bus analyzers (CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, A-E).
  • Review network compatibility and protocols to validate sensor/ECU interoperability.
  • Define acceptance criteria and validate bench and vehicle-level performance.
  • Maintain bench schematics, procedures, failure analyses, and action reports.
  • Coordinate with software, hardware, and program teams; track tasks in JIRA.
