Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking an Automotive Engineer to design and validate virtual control system features using MATLAB/Simulink and StateFlow, emulate operator testing, and automate test cases with Python. The role involves HIL bench development, hardware-in-loop integration, and ensuring safety through HIL audits.

Experience with ECU ARXMLs and CAN/LIN protocols is required. Ideal candidates have 7+ years in automotive engineering, with hands-on dSPACE HIL bench design, MIL/MI

Job description

• Working with ECU and system level ARXML’s
• Experience in MATLAB, Simulink, State flow, Control Desk, Configuration Desk, Automation Desk, CANalyzer, CANoe, INCA, PROVEtech
• Designing the new Virtual Control system features in MATLAB using Simulink and State flow to mimic an actual operator testing a machine Automating various test cases using Python
• Performing impact analysis for the vehicle program from a systems and hardware engineering perspective
• Designing and implementing simulator upgrades to match the hardware IO requirements
• Designing and fabricating HIL harnesses, test fixtures and integrating new systems with the existing resources per the requirements
• Auditing HILs for safety concerns and implementing solutions.
• Involving in developing and testing algorithms involving Battery Control Module connected with Hardware-in-loop systems and validating the algorithms using Model-In-Loop (MIL) approach to ensure all the input and outputs are fully tested
• Providing weekly status reports to customers (senior management) & team members for all open/Resolved issues
• Developing Bench from scratch effectively and in a timely critical manner with minimum support
• Designing the new Virtual Control system features in MATLAB using Simulink and State flow to mimic an actual operator testing a machine

Requirements:

• Bacholor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field. Master’s degree will have an added advantage.
• 7+ years of experience as an Automotive Engineer. Worked in different Engineering roles as a HIL Validation, Systems, Hardware and Integration Engineer
• Designed, developed and commissioned dSPACE HIL benches from scratch for the electrification programs system benches
• Proficient with On Board Diagnostic validation and CAN FD, UDS (ISO 14229), LIN protocols
• Strong experience working with ECU and system level ARXML’s Experience in MATLAB, Simulink, State flow, Control
• Familiarity with the SAFe Agile process and Git tools Experience in I/O and serial data fault Injection methods using dSPACE fault Injection units (FIU)
• Having an in-depth knowledge in requirement analysis, functional testing, bench testing and automotive safety systems
• Experience in POWERTRAIN, ADAS and INFOTAINMENT domain in automotive engineering
• Automotive Controls Engineer having strong interests in control systems, hybrid electric vehicles, HIL testing, calibration and battery simulation Hands-on experience with dSPACE hardware-in-the-loop systems : Functional requirements and exposure in developing PFMEA, DFMEA documentations
• Knowledge of Diagnostics UDS protocol ISO 14229 and other CAN communication protocols
• Proficient in data acquisition techniques and automated several test cases using dSPACE and inhouse tool
