Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking Transportation/Civil Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 to contribute to large-scale highway and roadway projects. You will collaborate with Professional Engineers and Project Managers on designs, reports, and documentation.

Candidates must be enrolled in Civil or Transportation Engineering and have CAD/Design software experience, preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D. A hybrid work policy and a base salary range are noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a degree seeking program in Civil or Transportation Engineering or a closely related field.
• Knowledge of and experience using CAD/Design software (preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D).
• Ideally, you’ll also have previous experience design or transportation-related coursework.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic highway/roadway geometric design calculations.
• Help prepare technical reports and design documentation.
• Utilize CAD to prepare engineering drawings, layouts, and models per standards and procedures.
• Familiarize with local, state, and federal design standards and requirements.
