Job summary

HDR is seeking a Highway Roadway Engineer to design, lead design tasks, and manage project teams in our Durango or Grand Junction offices. You will advance technical work under a Project Manager, coordinating with CAD Designers and EITs to deliver roadway, urban street, and multimodal projects for municipal, state, and federal clients.

Ideal candidates have a background in urban and rural highway design, transit planning, and active participation in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• PE license preferred and beneficial.
• Strong communication and planning abilities.
• Experience with highway/roadway design projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead roadway design tasks under a Project Manager.
• Oversee CAD Designers and EITs.
• Prepare detailed roadway/highway engineering designs.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and client interactions.
• Contribute to feasibility and final design phases.
