Job summary

County of Racine highway maintenance personnel are sought to perform repairs and maintenance on highways, parks, buildings, and facilities, and to operate a range of highway and park equipment. This on-site role requires a High school diploma or GED, a valid Wisconsin CDL (Class ABCD) with tanker endorsement within six months, and the ability to work after-hours during diverse weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair work on highways, parks, buildings, and facilities.
• Operate equipment used in highway and park construction and maintenance.
• Plow snow and salt icy roads and parking lots.
• Prepare maintenance and construction grades.
• Perform daily operator maintenance checks and preventative maintenance.
• Report problems to dispatcher and management and receive instructions via 2-way radio.
• All other job duties as assigned.
