Job Title: Summer Highway Maintenance Worker

McLeod County is hiring two full-time summer Highway Maintenance Workers to join our team. This is a hands-on, outdoor job supporting the highway maintenance unit that helps keep our roads safe and our communities connected. The position is full-time for the summer, with no nights or weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance staff with various activities, including but not limited to: making signs, flagging, patching, cleaning bridges, vegetation control, shop maintenance, etc.
• Assist the Sign Technician in the replacement or installation of highway signs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid Minnesota driver's license with proof of insurance.
• Ability to communicate clearly with county staff and the public.
• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
