Qualifications

• One year of related work experience or approved equivalence.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Class A CDL must be attained within six months of placement.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment and performs skilled manual labor for construction, repair and preservation of interstates, ramps and bridges.
• Works on shoulders, drainage structures, pavement markings, grading and patching.
• Performs vegetation management with equipment such as slope mower.
• Installs and repairs traffic signs, pavement markings and guardrails.
• Picks up litter, debris and dead animals.
• Assists in emergency and inclement weather operations; may require extended hours or 12-hour shifts.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
