Job summary

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking an Assistant Foreman for TRT053 Trans Tech 4 (PG-J). The role supports a Foreman in supervising a maintenance crew on state routes, ensuring safety and adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities include training lower level staff, coordinating tasks, and maintaining reports. A Class B CDL is preferred; MSD level training may be required. This is an internal/external GDOT posting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 18 months of experience.
• Three years of roadway maintenance experience preferred.
• MSDS knowledge and safety procedures experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Foreman in supervising a maintenance crew on state routes.
• Help train lower level employees on safety procedures and maintenance techniques.
• Coordinate, plan and direct routine maintenance activities and equipment operation.
