Job summary

Job involves operating heavy highway maintenance equipment, supervising small crews, and performing year-round maintenance tasks including winter plowing and safety operations.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid CDL-A with tank endorsement; MVR standards apply and CDL medical card must be obtained

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 1 year of education and experience after completion of high school.
• License/Certification: Valid Commercial Driver's License, Class A (CDL-A) with appropriate tank endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Operates and troubleshoots complex highway maintenance/construction equipment and vehicles.
• Maintains assigned equipment and performs repairs and adjustments.
• Responds 24/7 for winter maintenance and traffic emergencies as needed.
• Supervises small crews and entry-level workers to ensure safety and methods.
• Lifts/carries materials up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
