Job summary

PRIME AE Group, Inc. is seeking a Highway Engineer I to join our Transportation team in one of Florida offices (Jacksonville, Pensacola, Tampa, or Orlando).

You will contribute to planning, analysis, and design of roadway and transportation projects for public-sector clients, collaborating with experienced engineers to improve mobility, safety, and connectivity while expanding your technical expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of highway/transportation engineering experience.
• Experience with ORD, InRoads, MicroStation, Civil 3D or similar software.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, FDOT, MUTCD, and ADA design standards.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing roadway, highway, bridge, and transportation projects for state and local agencies.
• Prepare geometric layouts, roadways, MOT plans, ADA improvements, drainage, and safety enhancements.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and supporting project documentation.
• Use ORD, InRoads, MicroStation, Civil 3D to develop design models and documents.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to deliver high-quality transportation solutions.
• Support field investigations and data collection for planning and design.
